yay, I was on the clock while working on my project, life rules!
anyhow, this is where I'm generally going to place amp:
As a fellow... conservationalists... I don't like to waste natural resources (or money) so I always recycle when I can... this is the old box's amp rack:
after laying down tape, and cutting the wood to fit (almost, it needs a few round spots..)
as you can see the new B-440 resin from uscomposites is blue! it's awsome!
Since this is not a subwoofer box, I figure I can make it thin... First layer:
and to my surprise, only ONE layer of Kyntex 17oz biaxial stitched cloth was strong enough to pull the mold out (again, this cloth is soo much better than anything else!)


I only had to add a second layer to the bottom (it's flat, therefore weak) and the top of the mold, now it's strong enough...
those little blocks of wood are to hold up the main peice of wood an extra inch high, so the amplifier will be centered in the opening of the amp rack.
Tomorrow I'll finish up the entire mold and hopefully get some filler on it.
