FS Two 03 RE XXX 18's

Postby JBLgeo » Wed May 30, 2007 1:50 am

I have a pair of 02-03 RE XXX 18s up for sale. I was going to put four of them in my car but my plans changed and Ive already gotten rid of two of them. Both of these subs work but not without problem. One of them has a crack next to a spoke. It was fine when I bought it and Fed Ex took the liberty to drop it in shipping to me. Other than that, the sub is fine. I was going to JB weld it and forget about it. The other sub was also supposed to be fine, but I threw it in a box a few weeks ago and it had some mechanical noise at higher excursion. It kinda looks like the surround has shifted over time and its causing some alignment issues. Both subs are quad 2 ohms.
Anyways, I want these things gone. They've just been taking up space in my room.
Because they are flawed, Id like to get $300 Shipped Per sub OBO. They will be wrapped and crated for shipping.
I can email pics to anybody who wants them.
Only trades I'll entertain are for higher end head units. The three best bets would be the Pioneer 880PRS, 980BT or 780MP.

Holy smack I wish I had the money. IIRC there was a guy looking for a pair to copy 95honda's home set up.

These are making way for 34 Tang Band drivers. Though one of these 18's would be louder than all 34 of them.

I thought about running all four when I had them for h/t, but that wasnt family approved lol. I ran one in 12 cubes tuned to 17hz's on 600 watts though. That easily overpowered the rest of the my h/t system. I couldnt imagine 95honda's setup.

Eh, I have alot of ideas for h/t. But no time or money for it right now. I need to get my trucks system squared away and some money set aside for a hook up on a full roller 421cu. in. small block, tremec t56 tranny and a fully prepped 9" rear end. Can you say 11 second daily driver with a 150db sound system:cwm22: Only sad part would be trying to pass emissions and gas mileage:cwm17:

There he goes, one of god's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live... too rare to die.
